BIOGRAPHY

Trevor began his musical career playing recorder at Primary School. He progressed to the trumpet at the Pickering Grammar School, playing in the North Riding of Yorkshire Youth Orchestra, Stape Prize Silver Band and the TA Band in Scarborough. At the Huddersfield School of Music he was very involved in the Orchestras and Brass Ensembles. He was also Principal Trumpet in the Leeds Symphony Orchestra and Huddersfield Ensembles, as well as playing with the Westmorland Symphony Orchestra under Arthur Butterworth. Since leaving college he was a peripatetic Brass Teacher for Kirklees and Sheffield Education Authorities, before moving to the Loughborough Endowed Schools.

Trevor retired from teaching giving him more time to pursue his hobbies of walking, photography, trumpet playing and now composing.

Nearly all of the pieces have been composed since retiring, with hopefully more to come.
